  1. My husband and I retired 6 years ago at the age of 50. Since that time we have established a comfortable routine which includes all the things we love but never had time for – travel, tennis, golf, reading, community service and family time. We are passionate about life and enjoying it to the fullest.

  2. (1) What are you most passionate about in your life?

Playing the guitar, creating music, writing, photography/graphic design/video.

    (2) Are you pursuing your passion?

Yes! I have a central idea that plays to my creative side.

    (3) Are you currently retired?

No. At least 20 years away!

  3. In my former profession I was following my then-passion as a quilt artist. For a few years, my passion was watercolor painting. Last year it was drawing. All of my life, though, a desire to write has been lurking in the background.

In January of this year, I decided to see what can happen. Now is a good time since I don’t really have to make a living at it (although extra income is always welcome.)

I am now writing for my blog. I am working on a free book to offer to subscribers. I am also working on a book about living in Japan when I first retired. Plus, I have many more ideas for the future.

I retired ten years ago at the age of 50.

  4. Passions include reading historical fiction, puppeteering, bluegrass banjo, grandchildren, crossword puzzles, and golfing. I pursue these things regularly (seasonally for golf) and enjoyed them before and now during retirement.
